Background
Apple is currently the largest company by market capitalization, valued at approximately $3.6-3.8 trillion as of February 2025. The company has maintained its position as the world's most valuable publicly traded company, though competitors like Microsoft and NVIDIA have at times challenged this status.
Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying a company's share price by its total number of outstanding shares, and can fluctuate significantly based on investor sentiment, company performance, and broader market conditions.
Resolution Criteria
This market will resolve to YES if Apple Inc. (AAPL) has the highest market capitalization of any publicly traded company globally at market close on March 31, 2025.
The market will resolve to NO if any other company has a higher market capitalization than Apple at market close on March 31, 2025.
Market capitalization will be determined using reliable financial data sources such as Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, or similar financial information services. In case of discrepancies between sources, the most widely accepted figure will be used.
Considerations
