Each year, EDO ranks the efficacy of Super Bowl ads using their “Engagement Index”. Last year, “Deadpool & Wolverine” won the Super Bowl, ranking #1 out of all ads.
This market resolves to the movie whose trailer (or teaser) has the best placement in the EDO rankings.
“Trailer” is flexible—any ad that’s clearly promoting a single upcoming movie release will count (but e.g. ads for a streaming service that mention different movies wouldn’t count).
If I am unable to access comparable EDO rankings for any reason (or if no movie trailers are ranked), this resolves N/A.
Last year this was called the “engagement index” but I won’t be picky about the name.
In 2024, three trailers placed in the top 10:
#1. “Deadpool & Wolverine”
#2. “Wicked”
#6. “Twisters”
And in 2023, "The Flash” ranked #1 out of all ads.
Update 2025-02-10 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Clarification:
The highest ranked trailer is determined by its final position in the EDO rankings.
If the highest ranked trailer is not among the pre-specified choices (as in the case of 'How to Train Your Dragon'), the market will resolve to OTHER.

badly chosen options on my part! The highest ranked trailer was How to Train Your Dragon, not even on the list. Resolves to OTHER
