Each year, EDO ranks the efficacy of Super Bowl ads using their “Engagement Index”. In 2024, the “He Gets Us” commercial ranked #8 out of all ads, and in 2023, the “He Gets Us” commercial ranked #2.
This market resolves YES if any ad about or directly involving Jesus Christ ranks in the top 10, and NO if none of the top 10 ads qualify.
The “He Gets Us” ads above obviously count, but the ads don’t need to be explicitly religious to count.
A commercial where Jesus is a character would also count (e.g. humorous historical parody).
It also counts if what’s being advertised is primarily about Jesus even if he isn’t shown (e.g. a teaser for “Passion of the Christ 2”).
However, indirect references do not count (e.g. someone using “Jesus Christ” as an expletive in their speech, or a mention of Christmas).
Feel free to ask me about edge case commercials in the comments.
If the EDO rankings are not available for any reason, resolves N/A.
